Policy completion marks important step in digital accessibility work
The U of I System and its universities work hard to make our digital communications and resources accessible for people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies. Completing UIC’s ICT Accessibility Policy marks a monumental milestone.
“Getting to the point where we have the necessary policies in place has taken almost 10 years, countless hours and coordination among the System Offices and the universities,” said Vance S. Martin, system executive policy advisor for accessibility. “Our next step in this essential work includes bringing on more people to help support the system’s diversity, equity and inclusion mission.”
